Anne Rice, Stephen King, and Edgar Allan Poe together could not have created a scene as horrible as yesterday. Thousands of people going to work at jobs both routine and essential are suddenly attacked and killed by someone that they, in almost every case, have never met or known. Reality has trumped fiction in a most terrible way.
